NAPP and its joint venture partners have initiated an effort to develop LNG transshipment and storage facilities in Atlantic Canada. Several sites are under evaluation in Newfoundland. The proposed transshipment facilities will provide flexibility for cargo deliveries to both offshore buoy and land based terminals in the Eastern U.S. In addition, the transshipment facility will also provide a new source of competitively priced energy to local markets.
