Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is natural-gas in its liquid form. LNG is natural-gas which has been cooled to a temperature of -161 degrees Celsius at atmospheric pressure. The cooling converts the gas to a liquid which is colourless, odourless, noncorosive and non-toxic and reduces it to less than one-six-hundreth its original volume. LNG makes it possible to load large volumes of gas on to vessels to be shipped to markets all over the world.
